Our doctors recommend botox® injections for patients who have hyperhidrosis. This purified protein is frequently injected into the underarms and other areas such as the palms and feet. The medication blocks nerve signals that cause glands to produce sweat, reducing perspiration output. Migraines

Over four million adults suffer from chronic migraines on at least 15 days per month. A migraine is much more than a headache; it is a collection of neurological symptoms that can be incapacitating. Migraine Treatment with Botox
Botox® is a biologic, which means it is a prescription medication derived from the living botulinum toxin A. This purified protein inhibits neurotransmitter release. Injections of the neuromodulator intramuscularly suppress the body's central pain processing response, which causes migraine headaches. Health Canada approved this migraine prevention treatment in 2011.

Botulinum toxin may be beneficial if you are at least 18 years old and have 15 or more migraine days per month, with headaches lasting four hours or longer. Patients in clinical trials reported significant headache relief a few days after the initial treatment. The second treatment reduced the number of episodes to eight to nine per month. Typically, results are obtained within four weeks.

Thirty-one injections are administered at seven designated points on the head and neck.

The needles are extremely fine, thin, and only about a half-inch long.
Injections are shallow, taking place just beneath the skin.
The majority of people describe the sensation as pinpricks or slight pinches.
A typical injection session lasts about 15 minutes.
There is no downtime after treatment.
Re-treatment is usually recommended every 12 weeks.
